Phillips County Sheriff's Report for week of December 16, 2015

November 28, 2015

4:48 a.m. PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pickup from the airport, transport to the hospital and back to the airport with their patient; local EMT Crew handled the call.

7:44 a.m. Female reported a crossing arm malfunction at the Saco crossing; information passed onto BNSF Police.

10:36 a.m. Deputy released one adult male from PCSO Jail on time served.

8:58 p.m. Male reported hitting a deer; white form issued.

9:58 p.m. MHP requested assistance for a stranded motorist on Hwy 2, west of Malta; Deputies and local towing company responded to the call; individuals transported to town by Deputies.

11:40 p.m. Female reported a possible fire south of Saco; caller was not sure of the location; Deputy and a Border Patrol Agent located the fire; fire was in a deep pit, surrounded by dirt and was okay.

November 29, 2015

3:59 a.m. Male reported a vehicle/cow accident on Hwy 2, east of Malta; no injuries to the driver; Deputy and owner of the cow responded to the location; case file started.

5:30 a.m. Havre PD requested assistance in locating a male and vehicle involved in an assault; information passed onto Deputies; vehicle/male not located in Phillips Co.

10:18 a.m. Male requested assistance with a deer caller had shot; information passed onto local Fish & Game Warden.

1:44 p.m. Female brought in a found purse; owner later located and purse returned.

6:54 p.m. Deputy performed a welfare check on a vehicle alongside of Hwy 2, east of Malta; all found to be okay, driver was just sleeping.

7:20 p.m. Local convenience store reported a fuel drive-off; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle not located.

November 30, 2015

8:00 a.m. Male reported seeing smoke near the Stine’s crossing area; Sheriff, Undersheriff responded to the call; found to be exhaust from a semi starting and no fire.

9:27 a.m. Juvenile Probation Officer advised PCSO that a juvenile had been released from Cascade Co Detention Center.

12:21 p.m. A medical alert company reported an alarm sounding at a local residence with no contact from the client; Sheriff and Undersheriff responded to the call; all found to be okay, button had been pushed accidentally.

December 1, 2015

9:00 a.m. Deputy performed a welfare check on a female inside a parked vehicle; all found to be okay, just resting.

9:02 p.m. Local convenience store reported a suspicious male with a child; Deputy responded to the call; all found to be okay.

9:04 p.m. Local convenience store requested a welfare check on a vehicle that had been sitting in the rest area for an extended amount of time; Deputy responded to the call; all found to be okay.

9:08 p.m. Deputy transported one adult male, Dakota Nelson, to PCSO to be incarcerated in PCSO Jail on a local warrant.

December 2, 2015

9:35 a.m. Male reported there would be military honors in the downtown area after a funeral today.

11:12 a.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with a situation involving a neighbor; Undersheriff handled the call.

11:25 a.m. Undersheriff released one adult male from PCSO Jail on own recognizance.

2:23 p.m. BNSF Dispatch reported an Amtrak train with an occupant possibly needing medical assistance at the Malta Depot; Sheriff responded to the call; no trains located in Malta.5:04 p.m. 911 received reporting a shredded tire on Hwy 2, across the Phillips/Valley Co line; information passed onto Valley Co SO.

5:06 p.m. Male reported a vehicle that may be a traffic hazard near the Underpass; Deputy advised individual was out of fuel and help had just arrived.

8:21 p.m. Male reported a possible fire behind the County Road Crew Shop; Deputies and local Fire Dept responded to the call; fire later extinguished.

December 3, 2015

3:55 a.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Malta area.

4:29 a.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Saco area.

10:05 a.m. Female requested a welfare check at a local business; caller had phoned the business for an extended amount of time and line was busy; all found to be okay, having phone issues.

8:46 p.m. 911 received reporting “fireballs” in the sky in south Phillips Co; Deputies responded to the call; Ft Belknap LE advised of the call; no fires/fireballs or planes found in the area.

December 4, 2015

12:09 a.m. Deputy reported a fire in a pit south of Saco and was in no danger of going anywhere.

1:07 a.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Malta area.

4:39 a.m. Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson area.

10:22 a.m. Deputy reported an abandoned vehicle and ATV in the Nelson Reservoir area; owner later located and advised to remove vehicles.

10:47 a.m. 911 received reporting an erratic vehicle on Hwy 191 south of Malta; caller later advised the vehicle had pulled over and drivers were switching seats.

11:57 a.m. MHP Dispatch requested PCSO assistance with a traffic stop on Hwy 191 south of Malta; Deputy responded to the call; situation taken care of without further incident.

1:21 p.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with an on-going complaint against her neighbors; Deputy handled the call.

2:00 p.m. McCone Co SO requested PCSO assistance with a welfare check on a juvenile at a local residence; Deputy handled the call; all found to be okay.

8:48 p.m. 911 received reporting a stranded motorist on Hwy 2, west of Malta; Deputy responded to the call; individual transported to town to get fuel and returned back to the vehicle.
