VFW Auxiliary honors members who have passed

Local VFW Auxiliary to the Buster Deo Post 4067 conducted a brief and solemn ceremony at their November meeting by draping the Charter of the organization with a black drape cloth in honor and memory of deceased members of the organization.

President Cheryl Wallace called on officers Jeanette Heinlen and Nina Jones to perform the duties as per by-laws of the group.

Honored with the draping were Ethel Schmoeckel, who passed on Nov. 2, 2015 in Malta, MT. She was one of the longest enrolled members of the auxiliary.

Also honored was Hulda Grant who died Oct. 28 in Helena. Hulda was a Gold Star Mother as well, that is a mother who lost a son in the line of duty. Her son, Dennis was killed while he was serving his country.
