The North Country Mavericks' 2015 outing came to an end last Friday night in Scobey as the team lost to the Nashua Porcupines and Lustre Christian Lions at the 3C District Volleyball Tournament.
Ultimately first place Scobey and second place Nashua would advance to the Eastern C Divisional Tournament this weekend.
The Mavericks brought both of their games to a fifth match but ultimately could not overcome their opponents.
In their opening game against the Porkies, the scores were 22-25, 25-5, 14-25, 25-10 and 10-15. The team laid the hammer down on games two and four but were unable to keep up the pressure.
"We just lost focus and we need to continue to (finish hard)," Mavericks Head Coach Kathy Siroky said. "They were talking and moving. I couldn't say what went wrong all weekend it was a combination of things. It's a feeling that we need to remember for next year."
The team was led in kills by Jada Sudbrack who had 15 of the team's 23.
Delaney Beil had 19 of the team's 21 assists.
