One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for October 28, 2015

Steve Schumacher, of Malta, was pastor of Whitewater Lutheran Church last Sunday as Pastor Nagy was on vacation.

Loulabelle Bessel went on vacation to Spain! She reports that “Spain is a beautiful, rich country with many historical buildings and a rich culture.”

Tryan Anderson, age 2, is a real cowboy. He was on the TV show Today in Montana riding a bull. He is the son of Tanner and Katlyn Anderson.

Mary from the area participated in the Mini Milk River Gospel Jamboree in Malta. Included were a group from Whitewater Youth Ranch consisting of Bruce and Lynn Hill and Jason Hellie and boys (from Malta.) Linda DeVries (long-time pianist) played for a group. Years ago, I played for the Jamboree.

Congratulations to Tatum Moore and Bella Lawless, recent Athletes of the Week in the Phillips County News. Also, congratulations to the girls on the articles in the Whitewater School Penguin Press.

The road construction between Whitewater and Malta is almost complete! It is going to be a wonderful road which will make a trip to Malta go faster.

Happy birthday to all October birthdays!

The weather today is cloudy and rain is in the forecast. Sure hope it does not turn into snow.

Jeanie G., Ree Simonson and I attended the Western Concert hosted by the Northeastern Art Association. It was Western music and it was wonderful …especially the yodeling. My sister, Janet, used to yodel really well (she will hate me for writing that.)

The Big Flat Co. repaired the light that is in the cross of the steeple of the Lutheran Church in Whitewater. It is beautiful at night.

Have a wonderful week.

Helen.
