One Nation, Under God

Phillips County Museum News for October 28, 2015

Happy Halloween Everyone. Vintage black cats, Jack-O-Lanterns, Scarecrows and ghosts are decorating the walls at the PC Museum due to a recent discovery from the shelves in the store room. Vintage decorations are slightly different than the new ones so stop in soon and check out “Puss & Boots.” Halloween myths concerning bad luck are common – if you hear the hoot of an owl you will have bad luck, or if a black cat crosses in front of you bad luck is right around the corner! Now don’t despair there are “good Luck” myths also. You will have good luck if the night before Halloween you sleep facing south, or if you hear a black cat sneeze it’s definitely a sign of good luck, ladies you will love this one if you put a dress on inside out you will have good luck (of course that means you have to have a dress in your closet!), and last but not least if the top of your head itches, you will have good luck. Everyone at the PC Museum wishes you a safe Halloween. Hours are Monday through Saturday 10-5.
