Sue's Stylette – First Street's oldest business
Landmarks change over the years in a small town – especially in town such as Malta where changes come as often as the seasons in some cases.
But Sue's Style is an anchor in Malta's business community. She has been in the same location for 30 years, watching businesses and businessmen come and go.
"I opened my doors 30 years ago and there have been changes in my business, but I've been in this one spot since 1975," Sue Kaluza said with pride. "I've had some of my customers for almost as long."
Originally from Forsyth, she married Bob Kaluza of Havre the same year she graduated (from Northern Montana College with an AA degree in cosmetology) and came to Malta with him when he was employed by Elenburg Exploration (he's with UPS now.)
Editor's Note: Sue would stay at her Front Street location until a fire destroyed the building in September of 2010. Bob recently retired from UPS. Congrats to Bob on his retirement and to Sue for 40 years in business.)
