One Nation, Under God

Fall football, drinks for Putin and the anxiety of Autumn

I’m a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, I have been for around 15 years. That’s why I have been nothing but thrilled with life the past few weeks. Big Ben (Roethlisberger) took a pretty troubling knee injury, but Mike Vick and Le’Veon (Bell) got a clutch win last Monday in San Diego, and the debut of Landry Jones was more than impressive with the win today against Arizona.

Jones threw the ball 12 times for 168 yards and two touchdowns, completing 75-percent of his passes. Those numbers with a sidelined Ben Roethlisberger have the entire “Terrible Towel Nation” loud and proud on their feet. Maybe that’s the reason my eye is split, I’ll never know… I love football, Fall, and family. God has been great to me recently.

With the high school football season in full swing, I am so pumped at the thought of both the Mustangs and Sugarbeeters being potential STATE CHAMPS this year. I am loud and proud for the #Hoonsquad and #Stangs, you’re damn right I hash-tagged the newspaper. Deal with it. Jesse. I’m so proud of you and the crew in Chinook, same to you Allen, Keenan, Tyson, and the rest of the Mustang Traditions back home. You guys are looking tough! It should be a very exciting and climactic finish in both Class C, and Class B football this year, respectively.

Apparently, I owe a drink or two to Putin over in Russia, he was able to destroy 20 tons of arms and ammunition supplying ISIS in less than 24 hours, and on tape, from my understanding. Why are we arming anyone in the Middle East? Why are we continuing our extended-stay in the Middle East? Why do religions dictate the amount of rounds I’m allowed to fire through a Tommy Gun at cottonwoods in North Eastern Montana? It sounds like Montana is the last best place to enjoy my basic liberties.

I’m feeling the growing anxiety that comes with Autumn, I’m so excited to watch my little sisters on the basketball floor this year. I cannot believe my baby sister is a Senior this year… where does time go? Yesterday, Kendall and I were throwing her Hail Mary touchdown passes on the playground, and today she’s a full-ride Lady-Griz-to-be. My little sisters are so inspirational. How did I get to be lucky enough to have 3 needy, little, beautiful, and downright amazing angels by my side? On top of the wild child little man Jay always there with the most helpful advice! Have a blessed week everybody.

Much Love,

Brandon
