One Nation, Under God
Get well wishes to Elaine Erickson and others who are sick.
Congratulations to me on winning the 4-H Beef at the Big Flat Electrical Meeting! Also, congratulations to other Whitewater winners Sally Austin, who won Chamber Bucks, George Soennichsen won a great blanket and Pat Dunbar who won something (I think it was also meat.) The Big Flat dinner was delicious (pulled beef) complete with dessert.
Linda Berg to Canada for Thanksgiving on October 12.
There were flu shots given by the Phillips County Nurse – Mary Lou Broadbrooks – in many towns in the county (I am too chicken to take shots.)
School let out on Thursday and Friday as teachers had MEA meetings and the children got a short vacation.
We all miss the North 40 and hope it will open again soon. I don’t hear as much news without visiting there. If you have any news, call me at 574-5576…let it ring.
Weather is beautiful today. We had really strong winds the last two days though.
Sympathy to my daughter Teresa and the rest of the Swift Current residents as terrible winds blew down trees and tore some roofs off of some houses! We should all get out and enjoy the nice days we have here in Whitewater.
The Democratic debates were on TV and I watched it. Hillary C. was great. I would like to see her win the presidency. I am a democrat and proud of it.
Tryan Anderson (Tanner Anderson’s little boy) picked a flower and gave it to me. How nice, it made my day. Give someone a flower.
Here is the quip of the week: hope your life is like toilet paper, long and useful.
Have a good week.
Helen.
