PCN Customer Appreciation feed to precede Parade of Lights

The sauce will be hot, the beans bodacious and the toppings piled high.

The Phillips County News will be holding a Customer Appreciation Night on Thursday, October 29 starting at 5:15 p.m. and running until 6:15 and will precede the Parade of Lights in downtown Malta slated to begin at 6:30 p.m.

We will be dishing up hot cups of chili – with all the toppings -- hot and cold beverages, and Sarah Osmundon’s world famous Dead Pumpkin Bars (well, they might not be world famous, yet, but you have to start somewhere.)

“Dead Pumpkin Bars are ground up pumpkins, topped with cream cheese, and they are delicious,” said Osmundson.

We will also be signing people up for door prizes (winners will be announced in the November 4 edition of the PCN) and will be handing out light in the dark necklaces and bracelets to children so they can glow with the show known as the Parade of Lights.

The PCN garage will be the staging area for the event and each of your favorite PCN staff members will be dressed in their finest Halloween digs (and those who aren’t will get to scrub the office commodes well into the holiday season.) The PCN offices will be closing at 4 p.m. the day of the event in order to get spruced up and ready to roll.

So you, dear readers, advertisers and newspaper lovers, are invited to come and spend some time with us before the parade and swap some stories, tell some lies and enjoy some chili which you can eat here or take with you on the way to the parade.

We hope to see you there.
