In addition to the Consent Agenda being passed and hearing reports from the three principals, the actual business portion of the meeting went as follows.
The budget amendment resolution for Teacher Aides in the two kindergarten classes was passed on a unanimous vote.
There were no contracts to consider.
Sheriff Scott Moran briefed the Board of Trustees in closed session.
Superintendent Kuehn proposed a Sprinkler System Bid Specification form for comments and suggestions from the trustees. The form will be finalized at a later date.
During the Superintendent’s Report, Mr. Kuehn briefed the Trustees on the progress of the Fire Suppression System upgrade. The majority of the work has been completed and will be finalized on October 28, 2015 by Fire Suppression Systems of Bozeman, Montana.
In other news, a Building Committee Meeting was scheduled for October 20, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. and a Transportation Committee Meeting for Tuesday, October 2015 at 5:15 p.m. Agendas for the Committee Meetings will be published at a later date.
The Obsolete Property Disposal Sale will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.
Chairman Knudsen reminded those in attendance that the Malta Board of Trustees will be awarded the Golden Gavel Award at next week’s Montana Conference of Education Leadership, and Greg Skiff will be award the Marvin Heintz Award for Distinguished School Board Trustees for the amount of training he attended during the past school year.
