M-ettes Sophia Stiles (right) and Mystic Striker placed in the top ten at the Fort Peck Meet leading Malta to take fourth overall. Stiles took fourth indiviually and Striker fifth only a second behind.
The overall winner of the varsity girl's 3 mile race that took place at the Downstream Campground Nature Trail at Fort Peck on a warm fall morning was Sidney's Janielle Brien who cruised in with a time of 20:00. Morgan Voster of Miles City ran into a second place finish with 20:13, and teammate Heather Baker was the third place finisher with a time of 20:23. Another Miles City runner placed fourth with a time of 20:24.
The Malta Mette varsity runners placed as follows:
