Glenna Lou Ehret, Age 81, died suddenly in an accident and entered into rest on September 16th.
Glenna was born on February 23, 1934 in Malta, Mont., the second eldest of eight children to George and Anna Soennichsen. She graduated early from Whitewater High School as valedictorian. Glenna met Harold Ehret in Whitewater, Mont., at a local dance. The couple married on August 23, 1953. Together they started their life and family while Harry taught throughout Montana.
Glenna loved people and was interested in knowing all about them. Everyone she talked to felt special and loved. She was not shy and made people feel important and that they mattered. She was very gracious, generous, kind, and genuine. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, decorating, traveling, exploring, and the fine arts. She was willing to try and do almost anything.
She will be missed by all who knew her. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Glenna is survived by her five children, Monica Ehret, Joan (Chad) Knox, Scott (Tena) Ehret, Anne Ehret (Michael Austin), and Noelle Ehret; her seven grandchildren, Eddie, Celestial and Stormie Ehret, Justin and Stillman Knox, Bowie Carns, and Natalie Austin; and her four siblings, Darlene Arnold, Ron (Candee) Soennichsen, Carol (Howard) Pippin and George Soennichsen Jr .; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 51 years, Harold Ehret, her parents, George and Anna Soennichsen, and siblings Alice Korman, Danny and Donny Soennichsen. A Memorial Service was held on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Beck's Funeral Home, located at 405 Fifth Avenue South, Edmonds, Wash., 98020. A celebration of life will be held next year in Montana, details will be provided at a later date.
