M-ettes XC take second at Shebly, Frazer invites

The Mette cross country team found themselves traveling west to Shelby to participate in the annual Shelby Cross Country last Monday.

The gun went off and 42 runners took off and made their way around the park and up the hills above Lake Sheloole. Kim Parsell of Shelby would soon take the lead with Sophia Stiles and Mystic Striker following behind, keeping close together throughout the race. Those three dominated the race with Parsell the eventual winner with a time of 20:35. Striker and Stiles battled it out to the finish.
