One Nation, Under God

Loring News for week of September 23

We got a little moisture earlier this week! It slowed the harvest but moisture is always welcome in this part of Montana!

Debbie Richau of Billings, and Scott and Roxanne Cowan of Scottsdale, Ariz., visited Barbara Cowan and Tom and Dixie Stordahl over the weekend. Barbara celebrated her 88th birthday at the HLRC on Friday! Barbara's sister Thelma Jean and Gary Bjorklund of Cut Bank surprised her by driving over. Some Loringites that wished her a happy day were Glenn and Betty Compton, Ruth and John Flansaas, Earl and Marie Wasson. Tim and Keith Cowan of Turner made the trip over to wish aunt Barbara Happy Birthday! Barbara says, "Thank you all for the greetings!"

Saturday, Dixie Stordahl, Debbie Richau, Roxanne and Scott Cowan drove to Malta to spend some time with their mother. Debbie, Roxanne and Dixie took an art class at the Art Spot in the afternoon, each creating a masterpiece of layered leaves made with watercolors or acrylics!

Carol Lumsden stopped to visit Barbara Cowan on Saturday. She had special entertainment with her, Amus and Everett Blunt!

Whitney and Jay Blunt attended the wedding of Jett and Bri Anderson in Havre on Saturday.

Congratulations to Twilla Johannesen on the birth of a granddaughter, Laney Hoge, daughter of Jennifer and Scott Hoge of Billings.

Hubie and Carol Simanton met up with Scott Cowan and the girls at the GN on Friday evening. Scott lived with Hubie's mom and dad during high school 50 years ago!

The Aurora Borealis' have been active again this week! Bright glowing skies in the north with streaks shooting up and large bright areas, mostly white or light yellow going right through the Big Dipper! They'll be brighter if you can get away from the lights of man! Step out and check them out!
