One Nation, Under God

Contemplations from my MSU desk

In Malta, it is common knowledge Autumn means three things… football, hunting, and a break from farming. At least, that’s all gathered information. The Mustangs, Sugarbeeters, and Blue Ponies all had great games this week. Congrats to you Mustangs who are reading this. Jake, Jesse, and the HoonSquad in Chinook, way to play! Dane Warp from the Havre Blue Ponies also set the Montana record for passing yards, according to Twitter. Jace Billy is smiling at your accomplishments!

I’m sure my friends Tucker, Trey, Quintan are all putting 110-percent of what they have into making their college football teams better, keep doing work! It’s amazing when I think of all that my friends from Highway 2 are accomplishing! I’m looking at you too Kendall, and of course the beautiful Bobbi we all know and love as well! Way to be role models!

There was a date rape scenario on campus, just yesterday. It happened on campus, and the details are still unknown, but 2 girls were drugged. The Student President at MSU also hopes to keep her title, and money after receiving a DUI and hiding it. She’s not my role model, and I know I’m not the only MSU student who feels that way. We all know somebody gone too soon, to a drunk driving accident, or had a close call, do we not? Drunk driving is so idiotic, it hurts thinking about it. I’m not claiming innocence, but I know I’ve never had a DUI, and I walk to parties now. It’s too risky in way too many different ways. You never know, you can do more than kill yourself drunk driving. Please be aware of this every time you think about starting your vehicle intoxicated. It’s stupid.

I’ve been listening to J. Cole, if you know me you’re not surprised. I have two role models: My parents, and myself. Nobody else. Well, I guess that isn’t entirely true, I look up to my siblings pretty heavily. How did they turn out so awesome? They’re my everything, and more, I couldn’t hope to be this patient, and caring without them. I love you Hailey, Jada, Nikki, and Jay! I may be home to see you soon!

It was a great week in Bozeman, Detroit is about to stomp the lightning out of the Chargers, and I’m not watching the Raiders or the Bengals, so ha Jada and Chris. I will, however, be cheering against the 49ers tomorrow night. I’m sure Katelyn and my diehard father wouldn’t mind me having Viking spirit :)!

Sincerely yours,

Brandon

P.S.

Prayer and condolences to a family friend, Donna Firstraised. I’m sorry for your loss, and God will guide you and your family to anything you dream of. He will make sure of that, and I’m wishing you the best, my friend! Stay strong, and keep the family strong too! You guys can rise harder than any fall, it’s in the blood. Rest in peace to the Townsend kids as well, there’s way too many Class B tragedies...
