Judy Michael, Malta, participated in a "Quick Finish" at the opening reception for the 40th Annual Art Auction Exhibit. The champagne opening and preview of the auction art was held in the Waterworks Art Museum, Miles City, Aug. 16th.
Judy painted and finished two "leaf" paintings, one a 'happy' bunny on yellow and orange leaves and the other was a blue bird on red shades of 3 currant bush leaves. These paint-ings were entered into a silent auction at the museum.
Judy has t wo paintings accepted into this annual auction-a large painting of an old Farmall tractor on the prairie and a "leaf" painting of a robin. The auction will be Sept. 26th at 6:30 at the Waterworks Museum in Miles City, preceded by a reception with hors d'oeuvres, drinks and music.
Judy also has 2 paintings accepted into the 26th annual Shadows of the Past Art Auction, a fund raiser for Choteau hospital and health services. This auction will be Sept. 12, at the Choteau Pavilion, Choteau, with hors d'oeuvres, drinks and music starting at 4:00, the main auction at 6:30.
Judy's painting in the main auction is "Company for Dinner", a large painting of the old Wagner School on the prairie with geese and antelope enjoying their 'dinner'. The other work is a painting on an oak leaf of a blue jay titled 'Bossy Blue Jay".
Locally Judy displays her art work at Bohn's Bones Art Gallery, P.C.N. Office and Phillips Co. Museum.
