One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for the Week of September 2, 2015

Get well wishes to Elaine Erickson and whoever else is sick. Elaine’s daughter, Heidi, and her family are here from Spokane, Wash., helping her. Welcome to them.

There was a real cowgirl from Opheim, Mont., who rode to and camped here in Whitewater while on her way to Vancouver, Canada. Good luck to you.

The Hellie families are all busy, hardworking people. Besides the season’s farm and ranch work, Taylor and Adam have a new baby to care for. Courtney and Jason are homeschooling their children. Now the families have company. DeeDee (former Whitewater resident) Nakita, Makita, a physical therapist, from Washington and her baby, Stella – probably named after her grandmother – and RJ Hellie also reside in Washington. (If I wrote any information incorrectly, please let me know and I will fix it.)

Whitewater Baptist Church has a guest pastor from Georgia here for revival services all week. An assistant pastor accompanied him. They were a long ways from home.

Phillips County Transit brought a busload of people to the Senior Meal at the North 40 on Wednesday. The meals are $4 and every senior is welcome.

School has started and the buses are running and children are playing after school. Drive safely.

Happy birthday to my granddaughter Challis Young (August 30) and all the August birthdays.

Weather is warm and beautiful after a short cold-spell. Go for a walk while summer lasts.
