The Malta City Council will conduct two public hearings on August 11, 2015 at 5:35 p.m. and 5:40 p.m. in the council chambers of City Hall. The purpose of the public hearings is to receive public comment(s) on the annual street maintenance assessment and the annual street lighting assessment for 2015/16.

The Dodson Board of Trustees, District 2A-C, will meet on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 7:00 pm. in the school library to adopt the final budget for the 2015-2016 school year, including Impact Aid. The meeting may be continued from day to day until the budget is adopted.

Any taxpayer in the Dodson District or any person affected by Impact Aid may attend any portion of the trustees' meeting and be heard on the budget of the district on any item or amount contained in the budget pursuant to Section 20-9-115, MCA.

The Whitewater School Board of Trustees, District 20D will meet August 11, 2015 at 7:00 p.m in the Superintendent Office. The purpose is to consider and adopt the Final Budget for the 2015-16 school year. The meeting of the Trustees may be continued from day to day until the final adoption of the District’s Budget. Any taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against any part of the budget. Meeting held pursuant to 20-9-131.

IRRIGATION RELEASES FROM FRESNO RESERVOIR AND NELSON RESERVOIR TO STOP ON AUGUST 25, 2015

Due to the lack of water inflows and current conditions of the reservoirs throughout the Milk River Basin, until further notice Malta Irrigation District (MID) will only supply this second irrigation to water users no later than August 25, 2015. If irrigators do not have irrigation complete by this time, no additional water will be supplied.

MID stresses that water users will not be able to receive a third or fourth irrigation to fields. Water users will not be allowed to transfer water rights from one field to another in order to irrigate a field a third time.
