Bringing home a piece of the 100th Phillips County Fair

This week’s Phillips County Fair marks the 100th annual event to be held at Dodson and in honor of the centennial event, the P.C. Fair Board has created many keepsakes to be had, including hats and shirts, a cookbook and history book showcasing highlights from years past.

“We have a lot of merchandise for people,” said Eric Wilke, President of the Phillips County Fair. “We printed a history book that will be for sale. It has pictures, articles and everything from the very first fair all the way up to current stuff.”

There will also be visors, tank tops, cups for sale along with a cookbook comprised of some of Phillips County’s finest recipes. All the money raised from the sales of PC Fair items goes right back to the fair to help pay for everything from maintenance to entertainment.

“It will help pay for all the added entertainment,” Wilke added. “We didn’t create these items with the idea of making money but rather just to have them available. We are spending double what we usually spend on entertainment this year, if not more.”
