Swim team takes third in last season meet

Led by Shay Garfield, Darrow Messerly and a strong Women 15 and Over relay team, the Malta Swim Team was not only prepared for the Chinook Swim Meet, the team took third place overall.

"We were fairly strong there," Coach Donnie Lynn told the PCN. "Some teams were not at their full strength. We had most of our swimmers and of course, our swimmers swam well."

Garfield, Ella Schye, Raleigh Hunter and Rheanna Messerly lead the Women 15 and Over team to wins in both the 200 Freestyle and 200 Medley. The team had a time of 2:19.54 in the Freestyle and a time of 2:41.90 in the Medley.
