Lela Domire, Malta Chrome, take on Boots and Saddles

The Boots and Saddles Club held its second event of the year last Saturday in Trafton Park. Cheers filled the stands during the races.

One rider that brought up a few of those cheers was eight year old Lela Domire, who posted a time of 21.09 during mini barrel races.

"It went good, I lost my reins and I lost straps but I still got a 21," she said noting the fastest time was around the 19 second mark.

Lela starting riding horses around the young age of three and started riding in Boots and Saddles a couple of years ago. Her favorite event so far had been pole bending.
