Kropp-Garland
One of the most beautiful weddings ever held in Malta was that which took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Garland when Walter H. Kropp and Mildred Garland were united in marriage.
Both contracting parties were born and reared in Montana, the bride being the only daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. W.H. Garland, who are engaged in the sheep business about 23 miles north of Malta.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Kropp, old time residents of Teton County, who are also engaged in sheep raising.
The house was beautifully decorated with trailing cedar, ferns, sweet peas, carnations, roses and snap-dragons, which were embanked in large quantities in the living and dining rooms.
The bride looked very charming in a gown of white crepe de chene and veil of net and orange blossoms, carrying an arm bouquet of bridal roses. The groom was attired in the conventional black. Mrs. Gladys Robinson, daughter of H.G. Robinson, was bridesmaid, wearing a gown of white chiffon over net with lace trimmings. Robert Hilton attended as groom.

Malta lambasts Zortman 10-1 in Sunday game
Malta had things much their own way Sunday afternoon when the local nine jumped on an augmented Zortman club to coast in a 10 to 1 victory.
Jim Hotz went the route for Malta allowing but four hits, one homerun by pitcher Earl Kloucheck, who parked the ball far in right field. Kloucheck gave up six scratches but poor support failed to help the Zortman hurler out of pinches.

Mining question on reservation to go to residents
To mine or not to mine on the reservation side of the Little Rockies is the question residents of the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation will decide.
A resolution passed by the Fort Belknap Community Council will put the question of whether or not to approve 'further testing and core drilling for minerals in the Little Rockies to a referendum vote on July 30.
The recent permit granted to Pegasus Gold Inc. for expansion of a leaching pad on the Landusky side of the Little Rockies was opposed by some Indians in the Lodgepole area and by an Indian-backed lobbying group for so-called "traditional" Indians who feel the mining is destroying traditional grounds of religious significance.
Only Indians who live on the reservation are eligible to vote in the referendum and to be effective, a specified percentage of eligible voters have to cast ballots.
