One racer amongst the winners, Dylan Bergos, has done well in his young career at the track, and as of now is the leader in points scored at the track.
“I’ve been pretty fortunate in the last few years,” Bergos told the PCN. “ I’ve done well at the drag racing thing and have won the track points numerous times. Every race is as exciting as the first one and it’s just a blast to drive.”
The step-son of the PCMS Vice-President and Director John Carnahan has made his family proud, but Bergos assured that there are no special advantages or handicaps to being so close to Carnahan.
“Growing up around cars is the only thing I can think of,” Bergos said noting that Carnahan has taught him a thing or two.
Bergos races his beloved 1997 Pontiac Trans-Am, that packs quite the punch under the hood.
“It has a ZZ502 big block Chevy engine in it,” Bergos said. “It’s a full-blown race car. It runs 7.0 (seconds) in the eighth mile and 10.5 in the quarter mile.”
Though Bergos knows nearly every detail of his car, he doesn’t obsess about the car’s weight, he just knows it’s heavy.
