Malta Trails receives $2,000 grants, helps buy children bikes

Malta Trails was pleased to be awarded a $2,000 from Every Day Event Grant, Sponsored by Toyota Motor Sales USA, Inc. Over 130 applications were submitted and MTI’s proposed events were selected. This Grant helped buy children bikes – purchased at Hardware Hank -- for the bike safety program in Malta Schools, promote Malta Trails events at the Bowdoin Wildlife Refuge (Boys and Girls Club Hike and Bike held in May) and the CMR Elk Viewing bike tour scheduled in September.

“This is truly an educational asset for our community by developing Youth Bike Safety skills and promoting healthy outdoor activities,” said MTI president Laura Pankratz.
