One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for the Week of May 27, 2015

Whitewater School gym was packed for graduation! A nice lunch was served after the ceremony. The North 40 hosted a party with music and fireworks! Good luck to all the grads.

The school year has ended for the students. It reminds me of the years I taught at a school for the handicapped in Havre. I also taught piano for 30 years, I did daycare …mostly after my own children had graduated and left home. It is a glad, yet sad time.

Late congratulations to Sloan Lafdahl on his art award from the USDA Agriculture! He went to Helena to receive the award and his teacher, Ms. Perdue, accompanied him. They made placemats with Sloan’s drawings on them. The school and the North 40 were given some of the placemats. They are very nice.

Rumor says that the name of our basketball team will be changed to the North County Mavericks. Is that true?

Congratulations to my granddaughter, Sheila, who was in Canada on her birthday.

Linda Berg went to Billings for an appointment; I accompanied her to visit Janet (sister) and we swam, ate, shopped and ate again.

It is so green all the way to Billings. Beautiful Montana in the spring. Go for a picnic.

The Lutheran Church recently had a guest speaker, Linda Webster, who was representing Rocky Boy. If you would like to help them, call the Malta church for the address and information.
