The 2015 Personal Property taxes are due in one payment by 5:00 p.m. on or before Tuesday, June 30, 2015. If the taxes are not paid by this date, the amount payable is delinquent and draws interest at the rate of 5/6 of 1% a month until paid and 2% must be added to the delinquent taxes as a penalty

DISPOSITION OF OBSOLETE AND UNDESIRABLE PROPERTY

Notice is hereby given as required by Section 20-6-604, MCA, the Board of

Trustees of Malta School District 14A adopted a resolution at a regular trustee meeting on February 11, 2015 to dispose of abandoned, obsolete and undesirable property of minimal value, including some various tools, building supplies, and outdated equipment. The sale will be held at the back of the old Country Home (also known as the Head Start building) located at 117 S 9th St W. The date of the sale was originally scheduled for the week of June 8th – 12th, 2015. The sale date has been changed and set for July 16, 2015 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

For more information you may phone the school office at 654-1871. Any taxpayer of the district may appeal this resolution to district court anytime prior to the

effective date of this resolution. If you are interested in purchasing any of these items, please come to the Country Home on July 16, 2015 to view the items and offer a purchase price. The effective day of the resolution will be June 1, 2015.

INVITATION FOR BIDS

LEASE OF STATE LANDS

Sealed bids will be accepted by the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, Ag & Grazing Management Bureau, P.O. Box 201601, Helena, Montana 59620-1601, through June 3, 2015 for a 10-year grazing lease on the following described lands in Valley County.

ALL, Section 16, T32N, R35E: containing 640 acres of grazing land.

The minimum bid rate is $2406.47 based on a grazing carrying capacity of 167 AUMS at a rate of $14.41 per AUM.

By law all bids in order to be considered valid must include a deposit in the form of a certified check, cashiers check or money order in the amount equal to 100% of the amount bid for grazing, plus a non-refundable lease application fee of $25.00. Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the construction of airport improvements for Malta Airport, Malta, Montana, will be received by the Phillips County Regional Airport Authority, until 2:00 PM (MT), on May 28, 2015. Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud at the office of KLJ in Billings, Montana.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a bid security made payable to the Phillips County Regional Airport Authority in the amount of ten (10) percent of the total bid price. The security may consist of cash, a cashier's check, a certified check, a bank money order, a certificate of deposit, a money market certificate, or a bank draft. The security must be drawn and issued by a federally chartered or state-chartered bank or savings and loan association that is insured by or for which insurance is administered by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation; drawn and issued by a credit union insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund; or a bid bond or bonds executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Montana. After a contract is awarded, the successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract.

Bidders will be required to have a current Montana Public Contractor’s Registration. For work over $5,000, subcontractors must also be the holder of a Montana Public Contractor’s Registration of the proper classification.

The proposed contract is subject to minimum wage rates as established by the Department of Labor for this project and are contained in the project manual.

Each Bidder hereby agrees to commence and complete the work under this contract within the time schedule indicated and further agree to pay as liquidated damages the sum as shown for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as provided in the following schedule:

It is anticipated a Notice to Proceed will be issued after August 1, 2015.

Bidders are required to acknowledge that for each calendar day that any work remains uncompleted after the contract time for substantial completion has expired that liquidated damages shall be assessed in the amount of $420 per working day for every working day beyond the scheduled calendar days indicated on the contract until substantial completion has been achieved. Following substantial completion, an additional 30 calendar days will be allowed for the Contractor to complete the prerequisites to final acceptance. If final acceptance is not achieved within 30 calendar days following substantial completion, liquidated damages in the amount of $60 per calendar day shall be assessed for every calendar day thereafter until final acceptance has been achieved.

Award of contract or contracts will be contingent upon securing funding from the Federal Aviation Administration.

The Phillips County Regional Airport Authority, reserves the right to hold all bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the date fixed for the opening thereof and to reject any and all bids and waive defects and to accept any bid should it be deemed for the public good and also reserves the right to reject the bid of any party who has been delinquent or unfaithful in the performance of any former contract to the Owner.

The Sponsor has established an overall DBE goal for the year. Under this contract the Sponsor is adopting a race neutral means of facilitating DBE participation. The Race Neutral goal for this project is 3.11%. As required by 49 CFR Part 26, the Sponsor is required to create a bidders list, consisting of information about all DBE and non-DBE firms that bid or quote on DOT-assisted contracts. The purpose of this requirement is to allow use of the bidder's list to assist in calculating future overall DBE goals. As per the requirements of the Proposal Form, all prime bidders submitting a bid on this project must submit, with their bid, a list including the name, address and DBE/non-DBE status of all subcontractors and suppliers that bid or quote work under this contract. Failure to provide this information, as outlined in the Bid Proposal Form, will make the bidder non-responsive and not eligible for award of the contract.
