Fairgrounds and sometimes even slept in the barn with the animals. He continued on that happy trail for 20 years and truly kept the 4H pledge and the motto, 'To make the Best - Better' through the years.
Then 5 years ago Noel and his crew: Chance Demarais, Logan Sims, Jason Spencer and David Bond decided to help get the fairgrounds ready for it's 100th. Iver Johannesen & Son's loaned a lift to reach the top of the Grand Stands. They have replaced almost all the roofs on the fairground buildings and trim.
Noel Emond's grandparents Maximil & Eva Emond came to Phillips County in 1916. The Emond Family Ranch will celebrate 100 years in July of 2016. Dusty Emond, the son of Noel and Sharon, is a 4th generation rancher on the home place.
