The Whitewater Penguins and Saco Panthers may be few, but that didn’t stop a few athletes from placing at the North-East Top Ten meet in Glasgow last Tuesday, April 28.
Whitewater’s Kourtney Simonson took fourth in the 800 meter run with a time of two minutes and 37.30 seconds.
Penguin teammate Tatum Moore took sixth in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 18.15.
The lone Penguin boy, Jeret Warren took fourth in the 1600 with a time of 4:53.36.
Saco’s Alana Malmend fared well at the meet, taking sixth place in the high jump after clearing four feet, eight inches. Malmend took seventh in the 100 meter dash, with a time of 14.40.
Panther Bailey Funk took sixth in the triple jump after leaving a mark at 31-07.50. Funk placed tenth in the long jump after a leap of 13-10.50.
