Phillips County 4-H Shoots Sharp

The Phillips County 4-H Shooting Sports program had nine youth participate in 21 events in the State 4-H Shoot in Bozeman March 7 and 8. There were 400 youth from around the state competing.

In the air rifle (three positions – prone, standing, kneeling) precision (coaches may not help during competition) receiving a 2nd place medal was Vinnessa Lundstrom. Other youth participating were: Isabelle Hallenberg, Charlee and Danie Rhodes, Brett Wiebe and Makiya Wilke.

Youth participating in the pistol division were; Kari Koss, Vinnessa Lundstrom and Kalen Wiebe.

We had eight youths participating in the archery primitive division. The results are as follows; Youth 13 to 14 year olds; 2nd place trophy was Charlee Rhodes and 1st place trophy belonged to Grayson Waters. Other participants were; Isabelle Hallenberg, Vinnessa Lundstrom, Kari Koss, and Danie Rhodes.

Competing in the 3D archery (this a fun completion event) were four youth. Primitive 11 -12 year olds; 3rd place medal was Brett Wiebe. In 13 -14 year old division: Grayson Waters received a 1st place trophy and in the 15 and over division, Kalen Wiebe took home a 1st place trophy. Also competing was Kari Koss in 15 and older taking 8th place.
