P.C. Museum Receive Paleontology Grant
The Phillips County Museum recently received the exciting news they had been awarded a $2,000.00 paleontology grant. The grant was awarded through Missouri River Country (missouririver.visitmt.com) and will be used to promote and enhance learning opportunities at the PC Museum. Plans for the grant money will involve a hands-on display that will engage young museum visitors in their experience at the museum. The goal was to provide local visitors and seasonal visitors with an interactive exhibit to enhance their visit to the museum.
Museum Notes
Excitement buzzed through the PC Museum last week with the announcement of a $2,000.00 grant from the Missouri River Country. The grant will be used to enhance our current exhibits and we will soon begin the “work” phase of the grant!
Help! The Museum is still looking for a volunteer helpmate during our school tours. Duties would be light – watching over the gift store and answering the phone. No previous experience is needed!
The “Time Traveler” newsletter went out this week to all PC Historical Society Members. Lonnie Link was the first to correctly identify the people in the photo. The photo was a picture of the Malta Creamery and Einar Olson and Don Henderson were standing in the photo.
A special thanks to Kay Hould and DollyAnn for our tickets to the PEO salad luncheon. The staff enjoyed all those great salads. Phillips County definitely has the best cooks! If you have a great recipe drop it in the mail to the PC Fair board for their centennial cookbook.
Museum hours are Monday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
