Kelsey Kuehn, a senior at Malta High School, has been selected to receive the Fred L. Robinson Scholarship for 2015. This scholarship has been awarded annually to a Phillips County senior to honor past businessman Fred L. Robinson. The amount of the scholarship this year is $6,000.
Kelsey is the Valedictorian of her senior class at Malta High School. She has been very involved with a number of clubs and organizations, as well as being a three sports athlete. She is a member of Key Club, Student Council, FCCLA and the National Honor Society. She is also a member of the Malta Lutheran Church Lutheran League. In her free time, she mows lawns and babysits along with volunteering for Relay for Life.
This fall, Kelsey plans to attend Rocky Mountain College in Billings to pursue a degree in Biology. After obtaining this degree, she plans to continue her education at the University of Montana to become a Speech Language Pathologist and ultimately become employed fulltime within seven years. Working as a Speech Language Pathologist will allow her to work with a diverse group of children with diverse needs. This is something that Kelsey enjoys most, working with children and watching them grow and achieve their goals. Kelsey is the daughter of Kris and Karmen Kuehn.
