Whitewater Track and field

The Whitewater Penguins track team welcomes back many of their talent from last year's team that sent three to the State C Meet in Great Springs.

Senior Kourtney Simonson just missed placing in the top six, after taking seventh in the 400 meter run. She posted a time of 1:02.29 in the event.

Simonson also placed eighth in the 800 meter run, with a time of 2:27.54 at state, which was also her new personal best.

She was first in the 800 at the 2014 Eastern C Divisional. It was there she recorded a time of 2:33.6.
