Dodson All Class Reunion to hold February 24 meeting

A meeting for this year’s Dodson All Class Reunion will be held on Thursday, February 26 at the Sacred Heart Parish Hall in Dodson starting at 7 p.m. to discuss a plethora of items, according to Iris KillEagle.

The date of the Dodson All Class Reunion will be on July 31 through August 2.

“We are going to be finalizing many things at that meeting,” she said.

Firstly, graduates of Dodson were told that they needed to have their registration forms in by February 15, but another mass mailing will be sent out to everyone.

“If you haven’t gotten your form in by now, it is not too late,” KillEagle said. “We have a caterer tied down so at the meeting we should be able to determine what we will be charging everybody.”

Earlier in the year, a letter was written to all DHS alumni looking for help with funding to replace old, broken and outdated chairs used by the sports teams as benches at the school. Since that time, all 24 chairs have been purchased and replaced.

“But, if people are still interested in donating, the school really needs new curtains for the school’s stage,” said KillEagle. “If people donate to help purchase these curtains, we will still put their names on the plaque.”

“We really encourage people to attend the meeting because there are a lot of things we want to tie-down,” KillEagle said. “We are planning a parade if anyone is interested. We did a memorial golf tournament last time (2010) but we haven’t had anyone come forward to say that they want to put it on this time around.”

KillEagle said that the 2010 All Class Reunion at Dodson was very well attended with nearly 400 people attending the event’s banquet.

“We are expecting around the same amount this year,” she added. “It should be a great time.”
