One Nation, Under God
In movies, it was always comical when someone would make a move only to find their hip or back goes out.
Never again will I laugh about that happening because last Sunday it happened to me.
While I was putting our dear son in his car seat, I strapped him in and then I felt it happen.
My back went out!
I’m only in my late twenties...
How did this happen?
I used to be at the gym lifting weights four to five days a week.
The pain was severe at first, causing me to double over and then eventually drop to the floor.
I couldn’t walk, let alone drive.
That innocent trip that was supposed to land me in the church pew, turned into an hour and a half long stretching and icing period.
It helped that the Bulls game was miraculously on broadcast television.
Though I may have cursed the game, because it was a rough game to watch.
Chicago teams have a terrible habit of letting people have break out games against them.
The Bears let the world see that Russell Wilson can really play ball in one of his first professional games.
The Bears let Colin Kaepernick run and throw all over them a few years ago in his second game as starting quarterback for San Francisco.
Tim Tebow? Google Tebow against the Bears.....
It’s terrible.
Anyways, back to Sunday..
Some no-name from the Miami Heat, Hassan Whiteside had a breakout game.
He had 12 blocks!?!?! 14 points! And 13 rebounds!?!?!
For those of you who don’t know that is a man’s Triple Double.
Terrible.
So after the game I continued to lay on an Ice pad and stretched, until it hit me. I have aspirin!
Since then I’ve been about 67 percent better.
Getting older is a drag.
I’m not saying I want to be young forever....
That thought process did not work out for Michael Jackson, who is all kinds of crazy.
For those of you that didn’t catch it on Facebook, our dear son PJ now crawls!
It freaks me out because that kid loves to get into everything he can.
He loves his toys, but his toys don’t stop his curiosity.
Lord help us.
He has also started screaming unnecessarily.
Awe the joys of fatherhood.
I’ve been asked more than once what my take on politics are this week.
Here goes nothing.
I think nothing is sacred to Liberals.
I think Conservatives are cheap and don’t give a care about anyone but themselves.
I think politics are just tearing our country apart and eventually they will be the end of our country.
How is it that many of these politicians see more money in a half of a year than many of us will make in a decade.
I think our economy sucks and as long as the knuckleheads keep fighting, our country will falter.
I think there are more important topics in our country than Liberals and Conservatives judging each other.
God Bless America, especially when we regain our focus.
