Season’s Greetings!

The year is winding down and the holiday season has arrived. 2014 has been another great year with the “CCC” continuing to work with stakeholders and community members. It seems that each year we are able to take more action, collaborate more effectively and continue to provide education and awareness in our area. 2015 is just around the corner and I looked forward to the continued success to come!

2014 in Review

• Collaborated with Extension Agency to collaborate on a first Annual Ag Day/ Health Fair we were able to reach three times more community members than last year at our “CCC” booth!

• Open forum panel discussion with local law enforcement to discuss and review current crisis response plans in our community Board Member Mike Rappold then helped facilitate a FBI sponsored training for local law enforcement and EMT responders

• Open forum panel discussion with area School Counselors Resource Directory for Phillips County Distributed and tentative School District mental health first aid training planning for early 2015.

To place sponsored “Counseling Corner” - ACA mental health educational and support based syndicated column in our local newspaper - Phillips County News

• Open Forum Discussion with local Ministerial Association members local resource directory was distributed and tentative meet and greet lunch with providers planning as well as mental health first aide training planned for early 2015 took place

Strategic planning meeting with local Media (KMMR and PCN) – look for increased coverage of the “CCC” happenings in 2015

Sponsored the “Mental Health Minutes” on local radio each month airing Fridays at 12 p.m.
