One Nation, Under God
“Get well Wishes” to Janet Brown (my sister) who has been in the hospital. She will get out soon.
Sympathy to Linda Berg on the passing of her canary bird named Angel. He is singing in Heaven now, Linda.
“Get well wishes” to Barb and Gary Anderson’s sister as she was in a bad accident. Barb and Gary are owners of the North 40 Café.
Margie Olson and Ree Simonson went to North Dakota to visit their sister, Evelyn and her husband, who is sick. Get well wishes to him also.
Adam and Taylor Hellie went to Nebraska. I hope the roads are safe.
Congratulations to Laramie Scheffelmear on being selected a a top volleyball player in Montana Class B. Also, congratulations to Markell Lett – a former Whitewater resident – Courtney Simonson, the Howard Twins and any other players that I might have missed. Good job!
Several from the area attended a lunch at the GN with speaker Lois Olmstead. Those in attendance where Judy Simonson, Lyn Hill, Judy’s daughter, Brenda Cornfeld, Linda Berg and sorry if I didn’t see anyone and didn’t write your name down.
There was turkey bingo at the school I went but did not play long enough to get a turkey.
I went to the matinee show at the Villa Theatre. It was Disney’s Alexander’s Bad Day. I don’t like horror or violent movies so this one was funny.
Don Simanton (a real cowboy) was in the North 40 talking about his roping days. I told him “don’t try roping a skunk.) (Good advice to all.)
Years ago, cooking was more work than it is today because of all the mixes and prepared foods available. Mom’s homemade stuffing was delicious. Grandma Austin’s mincemeat pie – made with real meat, suet and raisins – was just great.
Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving to all, don’t eat too much.
