Tree of Remembrance

Kirkwood Funeral Home will be holding its 21st Annual Tree of Remembrance this year. We will be doing an open house from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the Kirkwood Memorial Chapel. Families are invited to place an ornament on the tree for a loved one who passed away this past year. We would like to invite families to pick up ornaments that were placed on the trees for the last 20 years and take them home to share with their family. The tree will be going up after Thanksgiving and will remain up until December 27. Any ornament placed, may be removed by December 27, all remaining ornaments will be stored.

Angel Program Applications

Applications for the Angel Program can be picked up and returned to the Malta Food Bank. You must provide proof of assistance at the time the application is returned. Applications are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays during regular Food Bank hours and must be returned by Thursday, November 20. Please remember only clothes and shoes will be purchased, no toys.

Hi Line Retirement family Potluck

11-20. On Thursday, November 20, the Hi Line Retirement Center will be holding the Holiday Family Potluck at 5:30 p.m. Staff, Residents and their families are invited to attend. The Retirement Center will furnish potatoes, gravy and meat and ask that those coming bring salads, desserts and vegetables.

Third Annual Putt Crawl

11-22. On Saturday, November 22, the Malta Chamber 3rd Annual Putt Crawl will be held. Sign in from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. at Stretch’s. For more information or to sign up, please call the Malta Chamber at 654-1776 or email at [email protected]. Space is limited so sign up early!

Former PC residents in Billings

11-22. A no host coffee gathering for all past and present Phillips County Residents will be held at Off The Leaf Coffee Shop, 819 Grand Ave, in Billings, Saturday, November 22 from 1 PM to 4 PM. Please come to get reacquainted with many former Phillips County people who now live in Billings. All Phillips County Residents who will be in Billings that day are invited. Come join in for a fun afternoon of fellowship. It will be an excellent opportunity to reestablish old acquaintances. For more information, call Carl Solberg, 656-9492.

Chamber Merchants Walk Around

Farm Bill Meeting

11-25. Phillips County FSA and MSU Extension have scheduled a Farm Bill meeting in Malta on November 25. The meeting will be held in the library basement at 1 p.m.

Malta Middle School Geo Bee

11-25. On Tuesday, November 25, the Malta Middle School will be hosting the first round of the Geography Bee. Call the school for more information. (Round two will be held on 12-19.)

Malta Black Friday

11-28. On Friday, November 28, Black Friday, the Malta Merchants will be open for business.

Small Business Saturday

11-29. On Saturday, November 29, Small Business Saturday will be held! Shop Local!

11-30. On Sunday, November 30, Malta Merchants will be open from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
