One Nation, Under God

Loring News for week of November 5, 2014

Even though the weather has turned cooler, I still have a couple of pansies blooming! Now that the leaves are gone off the cottonwood I can see three nests of the bullocks oriole! I never noticed any before last year when I saw one!

The town of Loring looked like it was lit up for Christmas on Saturday night! There were several cattle trucks with their lights on lining the street!

Many calves are going down the road this week! It is the primary shipping week of the year, I believe! The mommas will be bawling for a few days and if you are far enough away you will be able to sleep, too!

Keira Simonson has earned another trip to the INFR in barrel racing! She will be competing on Tuesday and Wednesday. Good luck, Keira and Flit!

We have so many winners in this area with the M-ette Volleyball team District Champions and the Mustang football going on to the second round of the playoffs. Kourtney and Trace Simonson are on the two teams along with the Howard twins, Kayla and Kaycee! Good luck on the next level of play!

Dixie Stordahl was in town a couple of evenings to visit with her mom. Linda Hoover, of Havre, had been down to see Earl and Marie Wasson and she stopped in to see mom also.

Fran and Steve Noreen, of Cut Bank, visited with TJ and Char this weekend. They attended the basketball games in Whitewater to see the grand kids, Kia and Paige play ball!

Kenny Clark and his dad have been working like crazy to get the basement walls all ready for the new house which will be here soon.

Gale Simonson and Dixie Stordahl helped with the ghost out at Whitewater school for Red Ribbon Week. Our job was to make the injured kids look believable.

The Loring Lutheran Church will be at 11 a.m. next Sunday with Orvin Solberg officiating.
