Whitewater News for the Week of October 29, 2014

Apologies to Patty Young for leaving your name off f the Norsk list last week.

Whitewater Lutheran Church was packed on Sunday with many activities. There was a baptism for baby Mykel Jenson – daughter of Haley Hammond Jenson – then there was the dedication of the new church sign (which was made at the school.)

There were many guests there; the entire Hammond Family and some others I recognized were Rick Mickelson, Dan Waters, Marlene Holman, Dianne Mastel, and Annie. It ended with a delicious potluck Harvest Dinner. Country ladies sure can cook.

Kyle Stenvick and his fiancée visited his family here on his way to a new job in Chinook.

My Granddaughters (in Canada) have been traveling this summer. Sheila went to Florida to meet her husband’s parents. Rhonda took her children to the Calgary Zoo. I plan to visit Teresa and the kids there very soon.

My friends, the Hutterites from Loring, came to visit me. Susie said they had all just gotten their flu shots (the County Nurse gave them at school…I am too chicken to get a shot.)

The Hutterite men like to work and the women can sure bake and make preserves. One of them said they were going to Canada to visit.

Bobby and Pat Anderson went to Billings for the NILE Celebration, Does anyone know what the leters N I L E stand for?

The Taylors traveled to Roy to visit and her her mom and dad.

Scott S. has returned from Terry, where he was working.

It is a beautiful day here in Whitewater. We used to call it an “Indian Summer.”

Anyway, I am prepared for good news as the MDU Gas Co. has finally turned the gas on in my cellar and put up a new meter outside. Is your heat turned on yet?

Thanks to Anita Wisher for driving me to Malta on Tuesday. She hand her daughter went to Glendive to visit.

Jeanie Green traveled to Cancun for a cruise! Her girls, Melanie, Serena and Merissa accompanied her. They had a good time.

Jeanie Green got a llama – a tall, funny looking animal – to guard her sheep.
