For some it was a necessity, a chore that had to be done each night by lantern light. For others left without husbands or family it was a better choice to make a living than more scandalous options. And for the privileged it was a way to showcase their skills to family and friends. Regardless of the reason the pioneer women of yesterday often found themselves with a needle and thread in their hands.
You are invited to the PC Museum for an afternoon presentation that blends history and quilting. The date is Nov 4, time is 2:00 p.m. and admission is FREE.
Also just a reminder that the deadline for entries in the Christmas Festival is also right around the corner. Entries should be in the museum by November 5 at 5:00 p.m.
