One Nation, Under God

Loring News for week of October 15, 2014

The most anticipated event happened without flaw this week. The total eclipse of the Hunter moon was magnificent at 4:30 until 5:30 in the morning! A few clouds wandered across the moon’s surface from time to time, but it didn’t spoil my enjoyment! Now a partial solar eclipse on the 23 and I’ll be set for another year!

Dixie Stordahl traveled to Havre on Friday. On her way back she visited her mother, Barbara Cowan in Malta.

Sympathy from the Loring community to the family and friends of Leona Keinitz who passed away last week. She was a faithful visitor to our community and the Loring Lutheran Church. She’s making rugs for Jesus now!

Dixie Stordahl attended Leona’s funeral and visited with Dorothy Granlund and her daughter, Fern, of Cascade.

Kenny and Brenda Clark have been busy getting the basement poured and ready for the house before winter moves in! Such excitement!

Loring Lutheran will be having services at 9:30 on Sunday with Cindy Clark offi-ciating. The church had their quarterly meeting Sunday. Pastor evaluations will be mailed out soon.

Several hunters have been in the area. I know of at least one who was successful in bagging an antelope! Good luck to every one!
