Phillips County Extension Agent Manoukian receives Distinguished Service Award at national meeting

The Distinguished Service Award is presented to Extension Agents who serve a minimum of 20 years and demonstrate Excellence in education. In July 2014, Phillips County Extension Agent, Marko Manoukian was recognized as the Montana Distinguished Service recipient. The award was received at the 99th National Association of County Agricultural Agent meeting in Mobile, Alabama. Manoukian was recognized for his role in developing noxious weed prevention areas and the Advanced Market Beef project for youth. Both of these programs have state wide impacts.

Marko Manoukian became an MSU Extension Agent in 1994. He was the agent in Prairie County from 1994 – 1998 before moving to Phillips County in 1999 to present. Manoukian has been a single County Agent his entire career. Additionally he was recognized for his involvement with 4-H, crop and livestock education and his service to both his profession and MSU Extension on campus.
