Loring News for week of October 1, 2014

With the warmer weather this week, many of the farmers got most of their crops harvested. We had rain again on Saturday.

Dixie Stordahl attended Eastern Star on Monday evening!

Heather Simonson drove to Dickinson, ND on Friday to watch the M-ette volleyball games. She drove home on Saturday. Matt Simonson flew to Poplar on Friday to watch the Mustangs play football. Trace flew home with him after the game, which they won!

Dixie Stordahl visited with her mother on Saturday. Other visitors this week were Mary Peigneux, and she got a phone call from Lorna Knudsen of California, and Bette Dyrdahl of Helena! Carol Lumsden attended Quilt club in Whitewater, on Tuesday!

We got another inch of rain on Saturday! The prairie is verdant! It is the end of Sept.! It's not normal! But welcome for a long winter!

The Loring Woman's Club is raffling $500 gift certificate and $200 in Dino-bucks from the Malta Chamber. The Fall Dance is Oct. 4, the band is awesome, snacks are yummy and door prizes are available! All for only $5 a person! The raffle tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10!
