On September 16, the Junior High Coyotes participated in the tough Frazer cross country meet. For elementary boys, Michael Jaynes placed first with a time of 10.46. For elementary girls, Tyra Medicine Bear placed first with a time of 12.15, sister Keonna Medicine Bear placed second with a time of 13.08, Melony Fetter came in 3rd at 13.30, Svea Hogan was 6th in 14.42, Shaylee DeCelles finished 9th in 15.10, Ireland Best placed 11th in 15.55, Danielle Walker was 15th with a time of 16.55, Imagin Fox finished in 16th with a time of 17.11, Marie Hogan finished 17th in 17.42, and Raleigh Snell rounded out the field in 19th place with a time of 18.45. The score for the elementary girls was 21. Good job girls! For Junior High boys, Corbain LoneBear finished 10th with a time of 10.30, and Tyrese Messerly was 14th in 10.43. For Junior High girls, Christine Jaynes was 25th with a time of 14.51.
On September 18, the team traveled to Culbertson. Michael Jaynes finished 3rd for elementary boys with a time of 10.40 (season best). Elementary girls were led by Tyra Medicine Bear in first place with a time of 11.39 (season best), followed by Keonna Medicine Bear in 6th place running in 12.53, Melony Fetter was 11th in 13.31, Shaylee DeCelles placed 12th in 14.01, and Ireland Best placed 15th with a time of 15.08 (season best). The score for the girls was 45. Junior High boys were led by Corbain LoneBear in 11th place with a time of 10.40, followed by Tyrese Messerly in 14th with a time of 11.06. Junior High lone runner for the Lady Coyotes, Christina Jaynes finished in 19th place, posting a time of 14.04 (season best).
The team will travel to Glasgow on Saturday.
