Eleanor Peaches Ducharme
LODGE POLE-Eleanor Peaches Ducharme, 87, a retired rancher, died Friday, September 12, 2014, at a nursing home in Havre.
Wake services were on Monday, September 15, at the Medicine Bear Lodge in Lodge Pole. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16 at Medicine Bear Lodge in Lodge Pole. Eleanor was born Oct. 9, 1926 at the family ranch near Lodge Pole, the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth (Gray) Kirkaldie. She was raised on the ranch and graduated from the Dodson High School in 1944. After high school, she worked on the family ranch and other places. She married Nelson "Lucky" Ducharme in 1973. They lived in Hardin, Great Falls and finally moving back to the family ranch East of Lodge Pole where they ran the ranch. Lucky passed away in 2004. She worked in the senior center for many years before retiring. Peaches loved hunting, fishing and when she was younger riding horses and working cattle.
Survivors include her son, Kevin Ducharme of Lodge Pole; Laura "Suger" Doyle of Forsyth, Kimberly Demontiney, Judy Decharme both of Great Falls, Patty Jo Decharme of Washington; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
