M-ettes X-Country: Team took first at Wolf Point; second at Poplar meet

The overall winner of the girl's 3 mile race that took place near the Medicine Bear Complex in Poplar was Amanda Wolfe of Glasgow with a time 20:30. Second place went to Sierra Summers of Wolf Point with a time of 20:41. Third place honors went to Malta's Sophia Stiles with a time of 21:24.

The Malta Mette Cross Country team placed as follows:

1. Sophia Stiles 3rd place with a time of 21:24

2. Marley Manoukian 13th 23:46

3. Josie Lafond 14th 23:59

4. Eva Harms 19th 24:58

5. Hailey Nicholson 21st 25:12

6. Joanie Sjostrom 22nd 25:19

7. Jenise Amestoy 23rd 25:25

8. Mariah Salveson 25th 26:16

9. Monicha Williamson 26th 26:29

10.Jada Nicholson 29th 27:00

11. TaChante Cole 32nd 27:35

Nine teams were represented from schools at Wolf Point, Richie/Lambert, Brockton, Harlem, Culbertson, Poplar, Circle, Glasgow and Malta. However only three teams fielded full teams for scoring and the team scores are as follows:1st place Glasgow with 46 points, 2nd place Malta with 70 points and 3rd place Circle with 116.

The overall winner of the girl's 3 mile race that took place at Airport Golf Course

in Wolf Point was Sierra Summers of Wolf Point with a time of 20:46. Second

place honors went to Malta's Sophia Stiles with a time of 21:26. Third place went

to Lambert/Richie's Ellie Smith with a time of 21:43.

Twleve teams were represented from schools at Lambert/Richie, Plentywood, Harlem,

Brockton,Poplar, Culbertson, Frazer, Glasgow, Dodson, Circle, Wolf Point, and Malta. However only two teams fielded full teams of 5 runners or more and they

were:

1st place Malta with a team score of 70 points and 2nd place Circle with a team score of 83 points.

The Malta Mette Cross Country team placed very well for their second action of the season with several members improving their time from the previous meet in Poplar and all gaining tremendous experience. Their next action will be on Saturday September 13 at the Marian Hills Golf Course in Malta.
