One Nation, Under God
The Harrier season started on August 30, at the Poplar Invite. Senior Jeret Warren was the lone runner. Jeret placed 8th with a time of 18.34. Jeret already has his eye on State in October. Although there will not be a team score in Helena this year (Class C needs 3 runners for a team), he is striving again for an all-state placing, hoping to improve on his 12th place from 2013.
The Harriers then took the field at the Wolf Point Invitational on September 6. For the men, Jeret placed 7th with a time of 18.49. For the ladies, Dodson's Jacina Doney placed 26th with a time of 28.27, and Whitewater's Teal Martell took to the field for her first race ever, placing 33rd with a time of 35.20. Whitewater Harrier Coach Bruce Warren is looking forward to having the ladies compete this year, as he is anticipating one more athlete.
The Harriers are preparing for the Malta meet this upcoming Saturday.
