August 1, 2014

11:08 p.m. Deputy transported one juvenile to PCSO to be incarcerated on Phillips Co District Court Warrant; juvenile later transported to Cascade Co Juvenile Detention Center.

August 2, 2014

4:35 a.m. Male reported his father had passed away at a local residence; Deputy responded to the location; coroner case file started.

9:49 a.m. PC Hospital requested law enforcement assistance with a patient; Sheriff handled the call.

12:28 p.m. Female reported theft of fuel; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

1:28 p.m. Female reported receiving threats from a male; Deputy handled the call; information added to existing case file.

1:54 p.m. Reserve Deputy reported to the PC Fairgrounds for fair security.

2:10 p.m. Male reported an on-going right-of-way disagreement in the Landusky area; Sheriff handled the call.

2:19 p.m. Local Ambulance reported to the PC Fairgrounds for fair coverage.

2:44 p.m. Female reported stolen property; Deputies handled the call; case file started.

3:33 p.m. 911 received reporting a snake in the caller’s house on the reservation; call transferred to Ft Belknap LE.

3:55 p.m. PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pickup from the airport, transport to the hospital and back to the airport with their patient; local EMT Crew responded to the call.

4:53 p.m. Deputy assisted a motorhome with a flat tire west of Malta on Hwy 2.

6:14 p.m. Female reported another female walking on Hwy 191 south, near the Landusky area; Deputy responded to the call; all found to be okay, just trying to get to Billings.

7:22 p.m. Reserve Deputy cited a juvenile for MIP at the PC Fairgrounds; juvenile released to parental custody; case file started.

9:20 p.m. Male reported theft of property from the construction area on Route 66; Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

10:27 p.m. Female reported a stray dog in the downtown area; ACO handled the call.

11:03 p.m. Male reported a reckless driver on Hwy 2, eastbound from the Wagner area; Deputy responded to the call; no vehicle matching reported description located.

August 3, 2014

2:08 a.m. Deputy reported a “scuffle” behind a tavern in the Dodson area; situation taken care of without further incident.

2:16 a.m. 911 received reporting a suspicious person behind a residence in Dodson; Deputies responded to the call; all found to be quiet around the residence and no one there.

2:21 a.m. Deputy reported a disturbance behind the Hwy Bar in Dodson; individuals dispersed and situation taken care of without further incident.

4:03 a.m. 911 received requesting assistance for a possible assault situation at a residence on Barrett Ave in Dodson; Deputies responded to the call; case file started.

8:22 a.m. 911 received requesting an ambulance for an elderly male who fell; local EMT Crew responded to the location; patient transported to the hospital.

9:50 a.m. Undersheriff performed a welfare check on a disabled vehicle near the Sleeping Buffalo rock; all found to be okay and no one was around the vehicle.

10:01 a.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with getting property back from family members; Undersheriff handled the call.

2:19 p.m. 911 received reporting a grass fire east of Malta off of old Hwy 2; local Fire Dept responded to the call; NorthWestern Energy also responded to the location; fire later controlled and extinguished.

3:46 p.m. Significant Weather Advisory in effect until 4:45 p.m. for eastern Phillips Co; heavy rain, dangerous lightning and 50mph gusts are possible.

5:35 p.m. 911 received reporting a vehicle hazard on Hwy 191 south near the Bear Gulch Road turnoff; Deputy responded to the call; owner located and advised needed to be removed or it would be towed; vehicle later removed from the location.

6:10 p.m. Significant Weather Advisory in effect until 7:15 p.m. for southern Phillips Co; penny size hail, heavy rain, frequent dangerous lightning and 40mph gusts are possible.

6:20 p.m. Severe Thunderstorm Warning for south central Phillips Co until 7:00 p.m .; quarter sized hail and 60mph gusts are possible.

6:59 p.m. Severe Thunderstorm Warning for south central Phillips Co until 8:00 p.m .; quarter sized hail and 60mph gusts are possible.

7:54 p.m. Severe Thunderstorm Warning for south central Phillips Co until 9:00 p.m .; half dollar sized hail and 60mph gusts are possible.

8:46 p.m. Severe Thunderstorm Warning for south central Phillips Co until 9:30 p.m .; quarter sized hail and 60mph gusts are possible.

9:32 p.m. Female reported a one vehicle rollover, with injuries, on Hwy 191 north near Loring; Deputies, local Border Patrol Agents, Loring Fire Dept, Whitewater and Malta Ambulances responded to the location; 4 patients transported to the hospital; MHP Trooper also responded to the location; case file started.

9:45 p.m. Female filed a verbal complaint regarding neighbor’s running heavy equipment in the north 2nd Ave area; Deputies handled the call.

10:03 p.m. Male reported a vehicle speeding and passing on double lines, eastbound on Hwy 2, from Malta; vehicle not located.

August 4, 2014

8:15 a.m. Female reported stolen property from the PC Fairgrounds over the weekend; Reserve Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

9:44 a.m. Female reported receiving unwanted phone calls from a male; Undersheriff handled the call.

10:37 a.m. MHP Dispatch received a traffic complaint on a vehicle traveling eastbound on Hwy 2, in Valley Co; information passed on to Valley Co SO.

12:25 p.m. Female filed a written complaint regarding animal cruelty; Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.

1:13 p.m. Female reported a suspicious vehicle parked in a family member’s driveway on Central Ave; Undersheriff responded to the call; owner located and vehicle later removed.

1:57 p.m. 911 received reporting a suspicious female just walked into a local residence, started looking for a weapon, and then left; Sheriff and Undersheriff responded to the Frontage Road/Hwy 2 area; female later located; case file started.

2:16 p.m. Undersheriff transported one adult female, Beth Lenore Snow, to PCSO to be incarcerated on Trespass to Vehicle and Trespass to Property charges.

2:40 p.m. Local convenience store reported a fuel drive off; Deputy responded to the call; store later reported they came back and paid for the fuel.

3:31 p.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with a possibly suicidal female; Deputy responded to the call; local medical handled the call.

5:03 p.m. Male, Shane Carnahan, released from PCSO Jail on time served.

8:26 p.m. Male filed a verbal complaint regarding a “kid stuck in a swing” for an extended amount of time near a playground; playground found to be in Philipsburg, not Phillips Co.

August 5, 2014

1:48 a.m. Deputy performed a welfare check on a vehicle in the Trafton Park area; all found to be okay, individuals were just visiting.

8:53 a.m. PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a ground transport to Billings; local EMT Crew responded to the call.

10:19 a.m. Male reported money missing from a bank account; Undersheriff responded to the call; case file started.

1:08 p.m. Female reported a dog barking for over an hour at a residence on 5th St E; Undersheriff responded to the call; owners located and dogs put inside.

1:58 p.m. Hi-Line Retirement Center requested law enforcement assistance with an out of control patient; Sheriff and Undersheriff handled the call.

3:37 p.m. Male filed a written complaint regarding a semi trailer in the alley right of way in the 1st Ave W area; Undersheriff advised the owner had permission to park the trailer there.

3:41 p.m. Male reported an old tenant had trespassed to property; Deputy handled the call.

4:57 p.m. Female reported a stolen mattress from her residence; Deputy responded to the call; mattress not located.

8:04 p.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with property not belonging to the caller; Deputy handled the call.

8:05 p.m. Hi-Line Retirement Center requested law enforcement assistance with an out of control patient; Deputy handled the call.

August 6, 2014

4:49 a.m. Female reported a male in the middle of Hwy 2, waving his arms, east of Malta; Deputy responded to the call; male not located along Hwy 2.

8:24 a.m. Female reported a possible scam.

11:18 a.m. Female reported a vehicle passing her in the Saco area; Deputy responded to the call; vehicle not located.

11:42 a.m. Hi-Line Retirement Center requested law enforcement assistance with an out of control patient; Sheriff and Undersheriff handled the call; request later canceled by Hi-Line.

12:55 p.m. Female reported receiving threats from another individual; Undersheriff handled the call.

2:06 p.m. Male reported a phone scam.

2:39 p.m. Veteran’s Affair Police requested law enforcement assistance with a possibly suicidal male in Phillips Co; Deputy responded to the call; male located and found to be okay.

3:35 p.m. Female reported a theft of a paycheck; Deputy and Reserve Deputy responded to the call; case file started.

5:13 p.m. Female, Beth Snow, released from PCSO Jail on own recognizance.

8:12 p.m. Reserve Deputy reported a vehicle with two flat tires and no one around near the Sleeping Buffalo Rock off Hwy 2.

8:26 p.m. Female reported an adult male standing in his yard urinating; Deputy and Reserve Deputy responded to the call; male advised to go inside.

August 7, 2014

12:25 a.m. Reserve Deputy performed security checks on buildings and businesses in the Malta area.

3:56 p.m. MHP Dispatch reported a semi and trailer hauling hay, westbound on Hwy 2 in Valley Co, was about to lose a bale; vehicle located in Valley Co.

5:20 p.m. Female requested law enforcement assistance with a possible theft of property; Reserve Deputy responded to the call; property was not stolen, rightful owner had taken possession of the property.

7:34 p.m. Female reported two stray dogs in her yard; ACO handled the call.

9:18 p.m. Female reported receiving unwanted text messages from a male; Reserve Deputy handled the call.

August 8, 2014

12:38 a.m. Reserve Deputy performed security checks on buildings and businesses in the Malta area.

8:39 a.m. PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a ground transport to Great Falls; local EMT Crew responded to the call.

8:59 a.m. Female reported two stray dogs in her yard; ACO handled the call.

10:53 a.m. Deputy assisted with traffic control for a funeral procession from St Mary’s Catholic Church.

2:04 p.m. City employee reported an abandoned vehicle on 3rd Ave E; Deputy responded to the location; owner advised to remove the vehicle.

2:54 p.m. Female reported a “big snake” in her yard on 5th St E; ACO handled the call.

3:30 p.m. Male reported a possible IRS scam.

3:47 p.m. Male reported a credit card scam.

4:11 p.m. Female reporting a juvenile on a motorcycle near the swimming pool; Deputy responded to the call; juvenile and motorcycle not located.

4:15 p.m. Female reported a juvenile on a dirt bike had “just passed a car” on 3rd St E; found to be the same juvenile and motorcycle from above complaint.

6:20 p.m. 911s received reporting a vehicle fire on Hwy 191 south, near the 7 Mile Road; Deputies, Malta and Zortman Fire Depts responded to the location; fire later controlled and extinguished; case file started.

7:12 p.m. Male reported a vehicle speeding in the Saco area; information passed on to Deputy.

9:07 p.m. 911 received reporting a vehicle almost hit the caller’s vehicle near Hays; call transferred to Ft Belknap LE.

9:36 p.m. Deputy performed a welfare check on a motorcycle and trailer on Hwy 191 south; all found to be okay, just refueling the tank.
