One Nation, Under God
Last week the Malta Swim Team had a one day meet in Plentywood.
The team did good considering the team only had nine swimmers representing the team opposed to 30-45 swimmers from other teams, but the team was unable to compete for a placing. They were sixth of seven teams.
Normally the Plentywood and Scobey meets are held on the same weekend, due to the fact they are a day long event.
Leading the team in Plentywood was Darrow Messerly who won three events including the men 9-10 100 IM (1:39.46), 50 Free (36.87) and 50 Breatstroke (51.51).
Shay Garfield also had a strong meet, winning the Women 13-14 100 Breaststroke (1:33.10), placing second in the 100 Freestyle (1:18.12) and placing third in the 100 Backstroke (1:32.66).
