Building/Zoning

Please note: to submit any new permit applications ASAP as our Building Inspector is retiring. After his retirement it could be considerable time before we have another.

Malta Kiwanis

6-3. Malta Kiwanis will meet on Tues. June 3 at 6 p.m. at Westside Cafe. We need to plan concessions for the June 7 Malta Car Show and for the Country Music Showdown on June 13. Much help will be needed.

American Legion

6-4. Malta American Legion Auxiliary will hold its regular monthly meeting on June 4, 2014 at 5 p.m. at the VFW Club. Please attend.

Malta Trails

6-4. The Malta Trails will be holding a meeting on Wednesday, June 4, at 6 p.m. at Stretches. Walk ‘n Wheels at 7 p.m. at the Malta High School parking lot.

Walleyes Unlimited

6-5. Walleyes Unlimited meeting on Thursday, June 5 at 7 p.m. at Stretch’s. The meeting is being held to begin planning for Camp Walleye. Camp Walleye is scheduled for June 28 and 29 at Fourchette Bay.

Coffee Cup Fun Run

6-7. The Coffee Cup Fun Run will be held on Saturday, June 7 at the Malta Boys and Girls Club. Sign-up is at 8 a.m. and run starts at 9 a.m. Fee for event is canned goods for the Malta Food Bank. Come out and enjoy the event with your children, dogs and the community!

Malta Driver License Office

6-9. The Driver license service on June 9, 2014 will be closing early that day. The office hours will be from 10:00 a.m. until noon and 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. We will be in Malta again on June 25, at the regular hours.

Grace Fellowship VBS

6-9 through 12. Grace Fellowship will be hosting “Slaying the Giants” from a Veggie Tales presentation of the life of David. VBS will be June 9-through-12 at 346 So. Third St. East in Malta. Times are 9:30 a.m. until noon. Ages five-years through sixth grade are encouraged to attend. We will have daily music, Bible lessons, crafts and game times, plus lots of fun. Registration is at the door. Please invite a friend. If you have any questions call the office at 654-5282.

Phillips County Extension Office

6-9,10,11. The Phillips County Extension Office will be closed on June 9 through the 11 as the staff will be attending 4-H camp. Sorry for any inconvenience.

P.C. Historical Society

6-9. Phillips County Historical Society regular June meeting is scheduled for June 9, 7 p.m. at the Phillips County Museum. Everyone welcome.

MHS Key Club

6-11. MHS Key Club Story Hour at the Phillips County Public Library starts Wednesday, June 11 at 10:30 a.m.

Gospel Jamboree

6.-26. The 13th Annual Gospel Jamboree will be held at Malta High School on June 27, 28 and 29.

Wheat and Barley Meeting

7-2. The Montana Wheat and Barley Committee Meeting will take place at the Northern Ag Research Center, 3848 Fort Circle, Havre, Montana on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. There will be opportunities for public comment.
